HIKING TO LATA KIJANG, KENABOI

Greetings and Good  Luck to Everyone Who Stopped by the ANS TRJ Blog, Thank You.

Welcome To Kenaboi Wild Park

I went to Kenaboi again 10/8/2025 - 11/8/2025

Okay guys... this time I want to share hiking to Lata Kijang waterfall, Kenaboi.

I went here as usual, camping for 2 days and 1 night. I arrived on Saturday evening and Sunday morning I hiked to the waterfall.

Lata Kijang Waterfall

Let's listen to my simple story.

Today, three of us came.   We arrived at the campsite at 4.30pm. We set up camp and did what was necessary.

I thought about going to bathe in the river but it didn't seem right. We cooked water and ate rice with side dishes we brought from home. Let's eat first. After eating, with the peaceful atmosphere by the river, we didn't want to bathe in the river. Let's rest first and get in the mood there. Tomorrow we'll bathe in the river, maybe go back hiking from Lata Kijang.

There were three of us but only two of us went to Lata Kijang waterfall. The other one stayed in the tent. If you follow the maps, the journey to Lata Kijang Waterfall takes less than 2 hours.

The road there is steep and upward, which really challenges our   stamina.

As I was climbing, I stopped for a moment because my heart was beating fast. I rested for a moment to calm my heart rate and then started climbing again.

After climbing several hills, we finally went down the hill to reach Lata Kijang waterfall.

Phew, it seems like you have to climb again later. When going down the hill to the waterfall, there are stairs going down towards the Lata Kijang waterfall.

Thank God we've arrived. Then there are more big stairs for us to go down.

Finally we reached the bottom of the waterfall path which is full of big and sharp rocks. If you want to take a shower, it's not suitable except to take a shower in the waterfall area up there like in the pictures and videos that I shared here. We didn't go up to where the waterfall falls because it was very crowded up there. So we just sat at the bottom on a fallen tree enjoying the cool breeze in the area while looking at the waterfall plunging from above at a height of 80 meters.

Oh God, it really is a very peaceful feeling there. Looking at the waterfall while feeling the peace and beauty of nature that God has provided for us. Subhanallah, it is really fun to sit on a fallen tree while dipping your feet into the cool waterfall path and cool down your troubled soul.

I sat there, enjoying my feelings. I really can't be separated from nature anymore. The forest provides healing to our hearts and souls. I really enjoy being in the forest and feeling close to it.

If I sit in the city for a long time, I start to feel very bored and I will come to places like this to find peace and strength of soul. Thank God for creating all this for the spiritual and physical strength of man.

After 1 hour at the Lata Kijang waterfall and the clock shows 12.15pm. We decided to go back to the campsite.

When I went up the high stairs, I took the wrong step because I jumped straight up and when I got to the top, my thigh immediately cramped. Oh, it hurt, but Alhamdulillah, after waiting for the pain to subside, we started the journey. Maybe it was dehydration and electrolyte deficiency, that's what AI told me huhu.

After climbing a fairly high staircase, I had to climb the usual stone stairs. Alhamdulillah the pain was gone. On the way back, the road climbed for about 400 meters. Then it was flat and there were many downhills. When I got down, I used 4th gear to get there quickly. After climbing the small staircase, we met many natives who provided 'Ojek' (motorized vehicles) service at a hut. They all looked at me if I wanted to rent an 'Ojek'. It's not that I don't want to use the facilities, but they were all men, I didn't want to get on. If you don't think there's a problem, you can continue. Besides, I still have a strong spirit to continue the journey. Before this, I had successfully climbed Gunung Besar Hantu for 15 hours round trip, Lata Kijang only less than 2 hours, I didn't want to give up. So we continued the journey.

There were many women who rode 'Ojek', of course, each has their own way.

On the way back we met some people who were climbing the hill. At that time we were coming down the hill and they were climbing the hill. It was a relief to be free from that challenge.

Finally we arrived at the checkpoint out of the Kenaboi forest.

Wow, we arrived early, it only took 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach the campsite.

Arrived at the camp, ready to shower and fulfill our duty to the Almighty. Cooked Maggi, ate while drinking hot Coppucino water. At 3 pm we went to bathe in the river. We went into the forest a little to find a deeper area to bathe. Phew, it was fun, the water was cold and there were no disturbances. The environment was the best. We showered for about an hour and moved back before Asar time.

Feeling satisfied with the day's activities and it was time to pack our things and return to our original place.

That's all my story about Lata Kijang Waterfall, hopefully those who want to go there, strengthen your stamina and go straight to enjoy the Nature that Allah created for us.
