Greetings and Good Luck to all visitors to the ANS TRJ Blog, Thank You.👻♈ "Oh God, My Heart Is Happy To Come Here. I Will Come Again, InsyaAllah".
👉 This area was once known as Rimba Savana Camp Rudi. The uniqueness of this area is that there is an overflowing waterfall from Sungai Kering, a tributary of the Kenaboi River, which is often associated with the myth of an injured deer falling into this waterfall. This is what I read from the info.
There are several indigenous villages, namely Kg Tohor, Kg London and Kg Nap, around this area.
This is a map of the Kenaboi State Park area. Pay for the permit at the Kenaboi Affairs Office.
This time I want to share my experience camping in the Kenaboi State Park Forest at 29th to 30th Januari, 2025 (2days 1night). This is a forest reserve. Here are also located Gunung Besar Hantu, Lata Kijang Waterfall, Lata Dinding and Jemaloi Valley.
GUNUNG BESAR HANTU, KENABOI
The height of Gunung Besar Hantu is 1462 meters (4797 feet), making it the highest mountain in Negeri Sembilan. The journey is 10 kilometers and takes 6 to 7 hours to reach the top of Gunung Besar Hantu. Going there and back takes 13 hours. Meanwhile, the journey to Lata Kijang Waterfall is approximately 5 kilometers with a height of 80 meters (262 feet). The road climbs up.
LATA KIJANG WATERFALL, KENABOI
In Kenaboi State Park there are facilities such as a Campsite for RM5 (Own Tent), 2 Chalets RM150/per chalet (with 3 rooms), a Dome for large groups (RM20 per head), a Multipurpose Hall for Team Building activities, Bathrooms, Toilets and a Surau. The facilities are all sufficient and comfortable.
LATA DINDING WATERFALL, KENABOI
The journey here is a bit challenging. So we have to be patient to get here. This place is really far inland until you actually find the signboard that says Kenaboi State Park. During the journey here, there are many other private recreational places. This Eco Park can be said to be located right at the end of the journey.
I had to bring enough food. I only brought Maggi Spicy, Ramen, Tea, Sugar, Sachets, Snacks, 2 bottles of 5L Mineral Water and Bread. I cooked using portable gas. I was here for 2 days and 1 night. When I got here, I felt happy and comfortable with the surroundings. I don't know how to describe it, but I really felt so happy when I got here. I rented a campsite for five ringgit and one head is also five ringgit. Of course, it's cheap, right? I'm camping with my second child only.
The campsite above is my choice. I saw that the area was all full, only 2 sites left here. I decided to camp at P11 and soon a man, a Filipino cyclist arrived and set up camp next to me at P10. So this is my 'hero' in the forest haha👻♈.
If he wasn't there, I was scared because the area was pitch black without lights huhu. I brought a USB charging bulb. This USB bulb only lasts for a short time, after a while it became dark. I took a very large USB bulb and plugged it into the plug to charge it all night. My problem was solved, at least the dark atmosphere was a little brighter even though the light was 3 meters from the tent. The Filipino camp next door did not turn on the lights. I did not see him leave the camp.
That first night after dinner, I opened my laptop to find an idea to write a blog while chewing on snacks. While I was playing on my laptop, while playing songs from Spotify, my ears heard various sounds from the river forest. Various bird sounds, until I was confused, what was that sound? I focused on my laptop because the surroundings were really dark.
Once I saw something glowing from the corner of my eye, when I looked in that direction, it was a big tree in front of me. Uishh sometimes I'm scared to see nights like this. Because it looked strange, I had to look hehe👻♈. My eyes wandered to the end of the river that forked into two, which was next to the suspension bridge because there was a light there. In my heart, ghost please don't show yourself because I don't want to see you haha👻♈. Actually, this is the first time I've camped right by the river.
The bonfire I made that night was just embers and the wood was gone. It wasn't a good idea to look for wood at night. So I went into the tent and covered the canvas in front and back, and then I felt comfortable and safe. I opened Tik Tok Live Horror Calls until I fell asleep👻♈. Alhamdulillah💚
Hey ghosts here, I want to sleep. You guys don't disturb me because I'm not afraid.. If you bother me, I'll burn down the forest where you live😆.. to warn the ghosts before we go to sleep hehe
let's go to sleep...👻♈
Morning atmosphere.
On the second morning, we go against the current of the river to Jeram Berungut. The water was really strong and there were a lot of rocks. What was unbearable was stepping on the river rocks. There were parts where the water was fast and deep up to chest level. We were careful to wade through the fast river and avoid going through deep water. If there was a bank, we would walk along the bank. As we went against the current, we could see the surroundings where there were also many logs as big as two huggers stuck in the path. Is this a phenomenon from the 'Water Head' incident? Wherever we are, we have to be careful and not get carried away.
The two of us waded the river against the current from the campsite. It was amazing to see the rapids and there was a feeling of fear. Some of the rapids were chest-high. I continued wading for a kilometer and finally arrived at Jeram Berungut. We only wore flip-flops haha... that was the problem.
We waded the river without any safety features. Sometimes we had to take off our flip-flops because the current was strong. We waded carefully, afraid of stepping on the deep areas and 'quick sand'. In 45 minutes we arrived at Jeram Berungut. This place really looks like it has rock walls on the left and right and it looks like a unique river rock wall structure like a cave.
There is a deep and shallow part. You have to be sharp-eyed because the water is really fast.
A shallow area with colorful rocks, really beautiful.
After enjoying the atmosphere there, I went down the river back to the campsite. On the way back I stopped to shower. There was a place that was a little deep but the water was fast. As far as I knew, we were the only ones there. It's hard to take a shower because the water is so fast. We felt like the return trip was just around the corner. My child's slippers were washed away by the water. Bye-bye slippers👻♈. We safely returned to camp. That evening I saw my Filipino neighbor next door. Apparently he had just returned from climbing Mount Besar Hantu. I thought he had fainted and couldn't get up because he was tired from cycling. Maybe he went out to climb the mountain at 3am.
*At first, when I was going against the current, I felt scared because I could see the water was deep and fast, but on the way back, it seemed normal. Apparently, nature there tests our feelings.
The beauty of the large rock fortress is like a cave. A unique sight and must be explored by those who have never been here. But go in groups, don't imitate us for safety reasons unless you really believe and are confident. I want to tell you all that this place has its own sense of beauty. I will come again because I have fallen in love with this place.
That's all for this blog sharing this time and see you on another and more challenging blog, InsyaAllah.
Don't forget to give me a sign of support👻♈.
